WEEK 10

Hye , WEEK 10 is the last week for learning and this week also the topic already finished with the last topic LO6 WEB APPLICATION.

A web application is a piece of software.
Examples : Google Documents, Windows Live Hotmail, Turbo Tax online and etc.

Web browsers are software application that allow users to retrieve data and interact with content located on web pages within a wbsite.
Examples of browsers : Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Netscape and etc.

This is week we are needed to make a Google Sites as a final assessment. My grooup already decide to create AiU Thumbprint Scanner google site.

  From this chapter, I had know some new thing and information. It is about Web 1.0 and Web 2.0. I also know the diffirentciate between both web. By using this web, it can run on the internet on your computer, phone and other electronic device.
    If  you want to acsess internet, you need a web browser. It is a software that can allow people to receive data and inteact with others. There are variety of web browser. Such as :-

  • Google Chrome                                          
  • Internet Explorer
  • Mozila Firefox
  • Safari
  • Opera
  • etc.



WEEK 9

Hye Guys, see again in week 9, for this week I learnt new topic. LO 5. This LO 5 is all about INTERNET.

 

Internet is about NETWORK and the largest in the world that connects people/organization all over the world. 

The uses is to find the information, access, upload, dowanload and many things. Before this I though Internet is Internet but it first called ARPANET in 1969 and it change to INTERNET from 1980 until now. 

Internet Service : E-MAIL
Email is an electronic mail that allow messages to be exchanged from computer to computer.
Examples : Yahoo, Gmail, MSN, Hotmail

Internet Service : The Web
The Web created by Tim Berners Lee and it contain hypertext links or highlighted keywords and images lead to information. 


IT Services : Transfer Protocol
 Transfer Protocol is the set of rules/ software that computers use to move files from one computer to another computer on the internet. Normally, they use Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) and FTP.

IT Services : Chat Room
Chat Room is a channel/ medium/ location on Internet that allow people to chat with each other.
Examples : Real Chat, Yahoo Message Chat Room, AOL Chat Room.

IT Services : VOIP
VOIP is to make a phone call by Internet.
Examples : Yahoo Voice, Skype, NetMeeting
 
IT Services : News Group
News Group is an electronic bulletin board to conduct discussion about specific topic or subject.
Examples : Newsreader
